Bach Flower Remedies for Stress

''Behind all disease lies our fears, our anxieties, our greed, our likes and dislikes," wrote Edward Bach, the father of Bach Flower Remedies.

Dr. Bach based his revolutionary belief upon his personal observations of patients whose physical illnesses seemed to be predisposed by negative psychological or emotional states such as fear, anxiety, insecurity, jealousy, shyness, poor self-image, anger, and resentment.

There is a deep connection between negative emotional states and a reduction of the body's natural resistance to disease. The emotions play a crucial role in the health of the physical body.

…What happens in the mind of man is always reflected in the disease of his body…

René Dubos

The body never lies, and the body is able intuitively choose the most necessary. This is why the Bach Flower Remedies are so effective to reduce stress symptoms – they remove negative emotions and clear up the soul.

Flower remedies directly influence a person's emotional state and help facilitate both psychological and physiological well-being. By balancing negative feelings and stress, flower remedies can effectively remove the emotional barriers to health and recovery.

I would not be without my flower essences! lol Rescue Remedy is a staple for me but I do have many others and make blends depending upon my needs. If I'm all stressed, full of anxiety, and/or feeling fearful I always take Rescue Remedy. About 15 minutes after using the drops I'll start to relax and just feel a "aaaahhhh". Sometimes it will take more than one dose... but it always works.

Nice post! =)
