Impact of Water on Stress Reduction

Drinking plenty of water is a powerful stress reduction tool.

Let me show you why.

When your body is under stress, the adrenal glands release stress hormones such as adrenalin and cortisol into the blood that speed up the body’s metabolism. These metabolites are broken down into toxins and these waste products have to be eliminated.

In fact - the first aim, before the diet changes, is to remove toxins (which are chemical stressors) and stimulants (certain foods, drinks and allergens from the body). A detox is the first step to turn your health aroung.

The insoluble wastes should be removed via bowel and to help this process fiber rich foods are needed. So, accordingly one should increase the intake of fiber for bowel cleansing.

The toxins, which are water-soluble, are removed through the kidneys and sweat and this is why it is very important to drink plenty of water to provide the effective detoxification.

Many people do not drink enough water - we need an average of at least 1, 5 – 2 liters per day.
