What is Coaching?

Coaching is an ongoing professional partnership that provides support, energy and empowerment, which enables the client to connect with her true self and achieve the goals needed to live the life she desires.
Often times coaching is confused with other related fields, so it is helpful to understand how coaching is different.
Coaching is different than therapy. Coaching concentrates on where you are now and what are you willing to do to get where you want to be in future, recognizing that results are a matter of your intensions, choices and actions. Therapy focuses on the client’s past and attempts to heal emotional wounds, or manage mental illness.
Coaching is not about the coach’s expertise, opinions, or solutions. Unlike consulting, coaches rarely give advice. Coaches ask powerful questions that create channels for your self-discovery.
My as the coach's expertise is strictly limited to the process of coaching.
The coach's job is to assist you to find your own answers, articulate your dreams, desires, and aspirations; help you clarify your purpose and goals; and support you in achieving your desired outcome.
Just as top athletes use coaches to keep focused when training and competing, a coach will keep you focused in your everyday life and assist you achieve your goals.

- You, my client, are unique, resourceful, and creative. I am aware of the complexity of the human mind. So, I do not believe in miracle solutions or quick fixes. Each program is unique to suit the needs of the client, there is no a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
